NI ships Reaktor 5

Native Instruments (NI) today announced that is now available in stores worldwide and said that it is offering a special limited-time upgrade for Reaktor Session customers. Reaktor 5 is the next-generation of the modular sound design studio that fuses synthesis, sampling and effects. The latest version introduces the new "Reaktor Core Technology" that broadens the scope of Reaktor-based instrument design. Version 5 features a "massive" instrument library, new routing options, expanded panel design options, a revised user interface and a host of other improvements. It is available now for $580; upgrades from Reaktor 3/4 are $170, while upgrades from Reaktor Session are available for $170 (through the end of August 2005). NI also said it would discontinue development of Reaktor Session.
