Jobs previews iTunes 4.9
During his speech at the "D3: All Things Digital" conference, Apple CEO Steve Jobs , an upcoming revision to the music player for Mac and Windows. Jobs said the new version would incorporate support for Podcasts, the popular pre-recorded audio broadcasting concept. The software will be released within the next 60 days, according to Jobs. Apple will only offer free Podcasts through iTunes. The final version of iTunes 4.9 will also display relevant album art during Podcasts, providing users with purchase links to the iTunes Music Store. Apple will also offer a tool for content creators to upload their content to the iTunes Music Store. When asked if Apple would sell movies via an iTunes-like store for video, Jobs said Apple's "actions of the future" would answer that question.
