Eovia today released , the addition to the Carrara animation, modeling and rendering software family. Leveraging the features and technology its higher-end products, Carrara 3D Basics 2 features an entry-level price. Version 2 delivers updated scene wizards and manipulators, an improved interface and enhanced nature modeling tools including a terrain editor, realistic sky simulator and tree modeler. It is compatible with Eovia's latest plug-ins including TransPoser 2 and VectorStyle 2, and takes advantage of OpenGL graphics boards. The electronic version is available now, while the boxed version is due later this month. It is available for $100.
