    If he wasn't worried..

If Bill wasn't worried about Apple, he wouldn't say s***.

    What a funny guy!

Wow, Bill Gates is absolutely hilarious! It's as if quality over quantity means nothing to him!

On a more serious note, I feel the word choice of "guffaw" was very appropriate, because what he said really wasn't funny at all, in any sense. I'm sure those at the meeting were just laughing to appease their "god." You can tell Tiger's made a difference over at MS now that these kinds of jokes are being told...

    not even newsworthy

That comment can barely be described as a dig since it was completely incoherent.

    huh?

i'm trying to figure out what exactly bill gate's insult was supposed to mean. i don't get the whole "put your applications in there and see if they run" thing. it could be interpreted as an insult to microsoft just as easily as an insult to apple.

    Those are jabs?

Man, he really BRUISED APPLE with those jabs. Get it? Bruised... Apple. Like, you know, how the fruit gets bruised!

    Man I'm great.

Oh wait, this was meant to be about Bill Gates' impotent insults. You suck, Gates!

    Now that's an insult.

    What???

You can always tell if you're working on a Mac or a PC. Just take your virus or spyware and see if you computer gets infected.

Seriously, Macs can "run" more apps than anything else out there. Mac OS X apps, Mac OS Classic apps, Unix apps, and even Windows apps via Bill's own Virtual PC. So what IS he jabbering about...?

    fascinating?

Gates has all the charisma of a bowl of cold mashed potatos, and he's on the "most fascinating" list?

Well, I guess to the corporate stick-up-the-a** types who make these meaningless lists, yeah, Gates is probably a rock star. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    Small note;

Re: "You can always tell if you're working on a Mac or a PC. Just take your applications and stick them in there and see if they run," Yes, that is correct! MS Office does run on the Mac OS! Mr. Gates deserves a gold star on his report card for pointing out the obvious!

    All in good fun! :-)

    well...

If you're the kind of person who needs to run a test to determine whether the computer you're using is a Mac or a PC then you probably shouldn't even be using a computer in the first place! ;)
