Griffin's increases effective range and signal efficiency for AirPort network and AirTunes by raising the AirPort Express base station up in the room. When this was first announced, Griffin said that it would ship in the first quarter. I sent them an e-mail pointing out that it's now well into the second quarter and asking for a shipping date estimate. Their response was "mid-May".
I've been anticipating this release because one of my Expresses is laying on its side on top of my entertainment center and has been knocked down behind the entertainment center 3 or 4 times by my cats.
