EarthDesk 3.0

Xeric Design has released , a major upgrade to the popular dynamic desktop map application. EarthDesk replaces the static desktop picture with an animated, real-time rendered image of the Earth, continuously updating in the background. The software supports eleven different map projections, political and satellite views, and renders accurate sun, moon and city lighting. Version 3.0 displays high resolution, real-time cloud cover, increases map resolution by 400 percent over previous versions, increases realism with smoother map edges, introduces more accurate map positioning, and more. Single user copies of EarthDesk may be purchased for $20 (upgrades are $10).
