    Coverup?

Interestingly enough, MSNBC.com has a partial video of the announcement, and it cuts her off right before you get to the Steve Job Thank You...

Very clear that it was just an incomplete recording of the announcement. Hopefully someone has CNBC Tivo'd out there...

    Briefly: Martha Stewart

    Hey lay off Martha.
Did you ever think that Martha might be referring to iPodding. This has become my favorite way to catch up on specific radio programs that I do not have time to listen to live. Elvis Mitchell's The Treatment, Terry Gross's Fresh Air, etc.
If youhaven't tried iPodding get withit.

    Magic Marc...

I was watching the announcement... that didn't sound like what she was referring to.

Quote: "And my daughter Alexis, also a radio listener. She has her radio, her iPod on, and I thank Steve Jobs so much for the new lightweight iPod because, um, it maies radio to so many people everywhere, uh, when you're doing/leading an active life."

This quote happens right after she's talking about how she grew up on radio and her 92year old mom listens to radio all the time...etc.

    Typo in my post

Sorry, typo... here's the quote again: Quote: "And my daughter Alexis, also a radio listener. She has her radio, her iPod on, and I thank Steve Jobs so much for the new lightweight iPod because, um, it makes radio accessible to so many people everywhere, uh, when you're doing/leading an active life."

    iPod radio

This was NOT a mis-speak. If you recall, right before the superbowl (I think it was the superbowl), there was one of those "here today, gone tomorrow" female singers on Access Hollywood saying she just finished an iPod radio commercial. I think the radio is in the process of being finished and waiting for announcement end of June.

    You heard it here first!

BTW, its not an 'insider' slip, in the sense of insider trading, because its not like she's trading on the info (you would hope not, anyway). And remember that she didn't go to jail for insider trading. They couldn't prove that. All they could 'prove' is that she supposedly hindered the investigation by lying and/or covering up information (of course, its odd that she can go to jail for trying to cover up insider trading, but if you can't prove the trades happened, how can she be accused of covering them up?)

Its basically the Al Capone indictments. Can't get them for the crime, get them for crimes related to the crimes (why else do you think that Nebraska (?) has a law stating that drug dealers need to buy tax stamps and pay taxed on their drugs the sell? Because they can nab them for tax evasion, put them in jail for that - because you can't seem to just put them in jail for drugs anymore - AND seize their assets).

    Martha's Flub Was a Hint

    Greetings:

Martha's flub maybe've been a no-brainer hint-hint to Jobs. Certainly enough people wish some iPods models at least with FM tuners. I'm stuck to carrying around a tiny AIWA CR-LD101 along with my iPod when I want to listen to the radio. Apple's competitors have already gotten the hint, and I hope Apple heeds its consumers and doesn't forget that it's not Superman (re: the mid-1990s).
