St. Clair Software has announced the , an update of its utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs in Mac OS X. New in Default Folder X 2.0 is: compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger," better Save As dialogs that work more intuitively in many applications, and revamped preference loading and saving. Many compatibility and performance issues have been addressed. The English version is available now. Localized French, Dutch, Japanese and German versions will be released as soon as they are complete. This update is free for registered users of Default Folder X. Default Folder X is distributed as shareware, requiring a $35 registration fee for use beyond a free 30 day trial period.
