FastMac slashes prices for April “No Fooling” sale

FastMac cuts prices


has cut prices on all items for its 3-Day April Fools “No Fooling” Sale, including G4 processor upgrades for G3 and G4 PowerMacs and 16X Dual-Layer SuperDrives, both starting at $100. Prices have been slashed up to 40%. The “No Fooling” sale lasts from Friday April 1st to Sunday April 3rd. “We’re excited to be the first to offer a G4 upgrade for under $100” said Michael Lowdermilk, Business Development Manager for FastMac Performance Upgrades. For $100, the FastMac ZIF processor upgrade replaces the original CPU in a Beige or Blue & White Power Mac G3 with a G4 CPU operating at up to 500 MHz. It also doubles the backside cache from 512k to 1 full MB, resulting in a 3 to 4 times boost in speed and performance. Optical drives start at $100 for a 16X Dual-Layer SuperDrive upgrade for Power Macs.
