DALiM DiALOGUE for OS X

has released DALiM DiALOGUE 3.0, an update to its standalone application that enables remote and collaborative viewing and soft proofing of high-resolution files (such as PDF, PDF/X, PostScript, CT/LW, TIFF, etc.) in realtime via the internet. It utilizes unique data-streaming technology to standard web-browsers, allowing users to view high-resolution files without the need for client software or browser plug-ins. Version 3.0 features new job approval and color management features. DALiM DiALOGUE runs on Mac OS X and is specifically designed as a stand-alone product compatible with a range of automated workflows.

Printers, publishers, ad agencies, photographers and designers can offer their customers the ability to view, zoom in/out, navigate, place annotations, draw to highlight areas, take densitometer readings, check production parameters, chat in realtime, and validate‚ jobs online. "Unlike other systems that require the user to either install a web-browser plug-in or even install a complete client application, DALiM DiALOGUE requires no client software whatsoever, and runs under all current client operating systems."

Dalim also says that the software licensing doesn't restrict the number of concurrent users. One new feature of DALiM DiALOGUE v3.0 is job approval. When enabled, DiALOGUE users view a set of icons that accompany a document icon, informing them about each document's current approval status. The application also offers access to document history and any user comments as well as provides notification via email for changes to a job, such as availability of a new version of a document for review, the addition of a comment, or a change in approval status.

DALiM DiALOGUE v3.0 also adds advanced color management features to aid in the creation of a complete, monitor-calibrated color managed workflow to ensure that the monitor image matches the printed output as closely as possible.
