    Mac Mini for edu?

Unlikely. This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the price of the Mac Mini, in fact. The second thing was, "No way... it's a theft magnet!"

iMacs may be light and easy to move, but they're also big and easy to spot. Mac Mini is small enough to stick in a large pocket, and if the lab is crowded no one would notice until it was too late. I don't see anyplace to attach a security cable, either. You'd have to glue the things down, or at least glue it to some kind of lock or cable attachment -- possible, but inconvenient.

Right now, I see lots of computer labs with eMacs, and that computer is REALLY hard to sneak out with. The price is a bit higher even with the educational discount, but at least it comes with monitor, keyboard and mouse.

    There's a lock

There is a Kensington lock thing on the Mac Mini, so it's easy to lock them down.
