The company's Securities and Investment Commission filings with the Australian agency show that Apple earned more than $362 million in revenue for the year ending September 2004--up from $255 the previous year, despite evidence of declining marketshare. Actually...

our market share in Australia has increased to 4.1% - the IDC figures they quote are out of date.

We increased our sales of Macintosh computers by a massive 49.1 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2004, according to IDC market research.

That was the fastest growth recorded by any personal computer maker, and it took Apple's share of the Australian PC market from 2.9 per cent to 4.1 per cent.

Look at this article on IDC's site:

Oh and the revenue was not all iPod driven either.

    Well...

The annual figure would have factored in that Q4 share - hopefully the upward trend at the end will be maintained

Today we are going to learn to spell "HALO" and "TROJAN"!

For those who need humor explained to them:

Trojan Horse of the iPod in the Windows world

    nice one

nice one theGuru... over 4% in australia is sweet. they should be able to hold that and maybe (gasp) even push it some through 2005

seriously, a flagship Apple Store in Sydney would definitely wake some people up and make them think twice about buying a crappy pee cee laptop... my poor housemate got suckered into some crappy LG notebook by BingLee :( she would have enjoyed an iBook 14"
