Norpath today released , a new version of its multiplatform authoring software for rapidly creating professional interactive multimedia, learning, and information applications. Version 3.0 adds more than 100 new features and enhancements to quickly create interactive applications without having to write code or learn a scripting language. It also includes a suite of design tools for creating interactive graphics, animation, and multimedia; a set of knowledge elements for creating learning, testing, survey, and other information exchange solutions; and a several pre-built GUI elements to allow non-technical users to incorporate sophisticated features into their application. It is available fro $500 or as a $200 upgrade.

Norpath Elements Studio 3.0 now ships with a comprehensive set of pre-designed templates to quickly build, package, and deploy interactive solutions such as courseware, quizzes, surveys, catalogs, encyclopedias, e-books, manuals, presentations, and kiosks. The updated runtime offers a fully customizable interface with a range of features including custom theme, menu, toolbar, navigation explorer, help, splash/about screen, bookmarks, screen layout, kiosk options, and trial modes.



The application features a range of multiplatform deployment options including standalone applications with installer, CD-ROM/DVD, and kiosks. The Application Builder allows designers to create their project once and then quickly generate distributions for Windows, Mac OS X, Java, Linux, and Solaris.




Other enhancements include a new dynamic layout editor for automatic sizing and positioning, new multi-disc media spanning for CD/DVD's, QuickTime 6 support, a new collection of application and content templates, new trial modes for creating time limited demos with optional unlock code, more knowledge elements (e.g., drag and drop questions), and enhanced runtime properties and theme editor, and more.
