"The demand for Apple Computer's Mac Mini continues to be robust and the sales estimate for the product has been raised from 305,000 to 900,000 units, the analyst says. The EPS estimates for FY05 and FY06 have been raised from $1.87 to $2.11 and from $2.16 to $2.50, respectively."

    Wow

    305,000 to 900,000 units????

That's a LOT of Mac minis!!!! So people say Apple will sell 3x more Mac minis than expected???

It's good to be a shareholder of AAPL.

    WTF?

I hold AAPL stock as well, but where do these analysts pull these lofty numbers from? If Apple doesn't sell 900,000 Mac minis then what? Last quarter Oct- Dec - normally Apple's best - they sole 1.2 million Macs, now this 1/4 Jan - March (normally their worse) they are going to sell 900,00 Mac minis alone? Oh well, I've never been a BofA fan so their Analysts comments are lost on me.

    yes

    yes irieblue...

I mean, yes, I believe they should have done just that.

They should double unit sales by finally selling to the other 80% of the market they were ignoring for so long...the low end market. Now, I didn't say double revenues, of course, there are things complicating that, including the low cost of the new unit....

with that said, it would be hard to sell so many units with supply constrained this badly, lots of people who want one, just can't buy one, they aren't available... and some people don't want to buy before Tiger...but I imagine they are in the minority.

I'm glad Apple has a hit...heck, they've waited this long, I guess we can wait a bit longer for them to get supply worked out, and finally, they will be hitting on all cylinders. And I hope someone gets fired for waiting this long.... YA....ok, a stern reprimand at least.

    what a buncha maroons!

"Oh hey, AAPL has exceeded my initial $25 sell valuation; WHOOPS! Uh, make that, target of… 60!… no wait, 80!, uh…98!, yeah, that's it… where'd I put my cereal box analyst degree? Oh, but Dell and Microsoft are the best!!!"

    Just shut up already. "ANALysts".
