macXware MacFonts 2
macXware today released ($30), a new collection of 1000 classic, designer and refined fonts. The MacFonts 2 collection seeks to standardize the use of fonts in the OpenType font format. The format offers several advantages over the TrueType and PostScript formats, according to macXware, including: a single cross-platform file for improved font management and document portability between platforms; a smaller font file size; embedding fonts in PDF projects; superior print quality; an expanded set of international characters (Euro currency symbol and more); and, advanced typographic control where a single font file may contain many nonstandard glyphs such as small caps and stacked fractions.
