BEST... MACINTOSH... CLIP... EVER.
I think it's even cooler then the Superbowl 1984 movie. Seriously.
Highlights:
- Steve in a bow tie: "Everything you are about to see on the monitors comes from THAT BAG" (Bag contains a Mac)
- Chariots of Fire being played
- People explode when seeing "Macintosh" scroll across the screen. The beginnings of computer-based presentations.
- The famous lady painting drawn entirely in Mac Paint, plus other images that were previously impossible to create in a computer.
- Pictures of Mac-made brocures. The beginnings of desktop publishing.
- A pic of all the realistic fonts the mac can draw on screen.
- Steve Jobs himself rendered in Mac Paint!! (How the h*** did they do that? Where there even scanners in 1984?)
- People flipping out over a chess game with Alice in Wonderland (I remember playing that game)
- Steve: "I'd like to let Macintosh speak for itself". Then he pops in a floppy, and the Mac starts reading text to the audiance in a Racter-like voice!!!
- Mac: "Hello, I am Macintosh. It sure is great to get out of that bag." (People going nuts.)
- Mac: "...I'd like to share with you a maximum I thought of the first time I met an IBM mainframe. NEVER TRUST A COMPUTER YOU CAN'T LIFT!" (Crowd pulling hair out.)
- The Mac calls Steve his "Father".
- Steve smirks. Crowd gives him a standing ovation.
