from its website, features many enhancements, adds support AAC music files, enhancing its support for iTunes. The update also adds support for UPnP AV to more easily share photos, music, and video files. Roku also says the software provides enhanced support for DVDs, allowing them to be played back without the use of third-party software.
"Roku PhotoBridge HD has outshined all of the other digital media players on the market since its introduction just a year ago. It's the only digital media product for HDTV owners and those with analog TV today who are planning to get a HDTV in the future," said Roku Founder and Chief Executive Officer Anthony Wood. "With software updates PhotoBridge HD has long life, in addition to a growing list of features. We hope that consumers will be pleased with the new ways they can enjoy photos, art, music and video on their TVs."
The Roku PhotoBridge HD easily connects to a home network, PC or Mac for accessing digital media, yet it also has slots on its front bezel to allow consumers to simply plug in a memory card. Once the memory card from a digital camera is inserted, an instant photo slide show begins, and when a Roku Art Pack memory card is inserted, consumers will enjoy still or LiveArt images in crystal-clear, high-definition quality.
