    Hopeful, but skeptical

One can only hope PowerLogix improves its support. I'm not certain it could get worse. BlueChipLS anyone?! Let's just say they have a long way to go. Hope they can do it.

    Powerlogix sucks

I'm sorry- I like Other World Computing- they stand behind their products- but my experience with a powerlogix 466 upgrade for my wallstreet was terrible- they had me send it in- it was over a year before they sent me back a 500mhz G4 that never worked... and there was no way to contact them.
If you buy or invest in Powerlogix- you are making a mistake.

    Very bad

Powerlogix ships faulty products, they dont test them unlike Giga and OWC, and they will ship you back a faulty replacement, the worst company to do business with EVER< AVOID by all means

    Still waiting

I am *STILL WAITING* for the 900mhz G3 upgrade for my Pismo. I ordered it from their web site OVER 8 MONTHS AGO!!! If it's not in stock then say so on your damn web site!

    Powerlogix=dodo bird
OWC teaming with Powerlogix only serves to diminish the stature of OWC

    too bad

PowerLogix made some pretty good products in the past - even though the dials and switches were a hassle, I still have quite a few of their G3 cards running on old 7500/8500s at many clients (chug chug, but they work fine for what they are doing)...

Overall, not anywhere near to plug and play as Sonnet, though- I wish Sonnet made some of the PowerBook products PowerLogix did; specifically the Pismo 900 upgrade.

I do have one Pismo 900 upgrade in a clients Pismo, and he loves it, and although I have tried to get more, PowerLogix doesn't seem to want my money...

I've read all the stories of the WallStreet/Lombard cards that don't work, and will not buy any EVER -

As far as OWC, buying from them was always OK, but their customer support, especially getting an RMA, was a nightmare. I gave up on a few hard drives they were supposed to replace for me a few years ago, and subsequently they lost all my business (which was quite a bit - I maintain ~500 Macs at this point)

I figure by the time PowerLogix really gets back on its feet, I will have most of the Pismos I would have upgraded (~30) replaced with mostly iBook G4s or even a few PowerBook G4s - the iBooks are not as nice of a form factor as the Pismo, but it seems they are getting faster and cheaper by the month, and I doubt the Pismo upgrade will ever get over 1GHz.

    got screwed...

    by powerlogix.

They sent me a faulty processor that fried my b&w motherboard.

to add insult upon injury, through a series of events, they claimed that they were not obligated to reimburse me for the processor b/c I had apparently "voided" the warranty.

Talk about taking advantage of a situation. I will never buy anything from Powerlogix ever again. I hope their business fails.
