    Nice.

Congratulations, Apple. These are the benefits of getting it done well, and getting it done right.

    Here's to innovation.

    Super fast

Wow, this thing is ramping up SO quickly. Remember how they only had 70 MM in April. Only 8 months later, they more than doubled it. Wow.

    Doomed

This should prove beyond doubt that Apple has to open Fairplay or be doomed. Nobody is going to buy a player that works with one store or buy from a store that works with only one player. Nobody!

Please Apple, save yourselves from complete obscurity.

I think the original post was a question and not an elitist comment.

Exactly. My post was NOT an elitist comment, but a surprised question (i.e. my jaw dropping in shock)! I did know that Apple's distribution of iTunes gift cards had gone so wide! Selling them at 7-Eleven is FANTASTIC for Apple! I never in a million years thought I would ever see an Apple product at a 7-Eleven! This just goes to show how far Apple has come with iTunes. Amazing.

It's funny as a long time mac user to start viewing iTMS as a product that everyone will use. It's not just for the mac world, but luckily it carries the apple excellence.

Everyone's been deemed a "mac person" within certain environments, so this is a bit of validation and a step up. The "mac people" control the best music now.

Yes, dootbran, that was sarcasm. Pretty good sarcasm at that (although a little overboard, I prefer more subtle sarcasm, the problem with that being most people miss it). You know, everyone saying that, and then reading reports of '200m songs' and '4m ipods', etc.
