REALVIZ ImageModeler 4.0

REALVIZ today began shipping for the Mac, its solution to measure and create 3D scenes using photographs. Using advanced algorithms, ImageModeler extracts 3D information from stills to help measure the 3D space created and construct accurate 3D models with highly realistic textures. Version 4.0 offers a new 3D/2D Integration Tool, a new UV Mapping Editor, the ability to apply textures obtained from other sources, new Calibration Constraints, Quicktime VR Object Movie export, and the ability to export an image of the 3D scene as a jpeg file. It is available for $1,400 with upgrades priced at $520 for registered v3.5 users and $700 for others.

"Since the last release, there have been increases in the number of
applications that allow you to create 3D models from 2D photos. ImageModeler
still stands above the others for ease of use, power, and the ability to
generate high quality results. Anyone who is building 3D models for the web,
previz, broadcast, or even film, should consider purchasing ImageModeler
4.0. I give REALVIZ ImageModeler 4.0 a Strong Buy Recommendation," according to Stephen Schleicher of Digital Media Net.

Version 4.0 also includes; new modeling constraints, including axis guide, and distance snapping; a new flexible world space tool, to allow the
definition of more complex coordinate systems and metrics; support of Exif
headers; improved interactions, including; QuickZoom, Interactive Shot
Matching, Zoom/Pan outside the viewport, Selection of buffer settings.
