Grid MP 4.2 delivers Mac OS X support

United Devices has announced the beta release of Grid MP 4.2, now featuring support for Apple's Mac OS X operating system. Grid MP 4.2 is solution for on-site grid deployments that allows corporations to maximize the value of their existing IT infrastructure while gaining massive compute power to accelerate and increase the scope of research and analysis. "Mac OS support is a critical feature for our customers using high-end design tools as well as universities and academic institutions," says Jikku Venkat, United Devices CTO. "Now these customers can operate truly heterogeneous grids, leveraging their wealth of Macs to dramatically increase the total power of their grid." In addition to Mac OS X support, the new version delivers additional management features, like integration with existing identity management systems for simpler grid interaction and expansion.
