Blame the Canadian government for all of their red tape if the store doesn't come today, not Apple. There isn't any conspiracy going on because I'm sure Apple would love to take Canadian's money every bit as much as anyone else's of course...
IF the trend commented on is true, and IF it turns out that this is due to record company profit pressure on Apple ... all it's going to accomplish is to turn me AWAY from major label artists and TOWARDS indies that hold the line. I'm already noticing that most of my iTMS purchasing is OLD stuff newly available (like the tonnes of jazz stuff! Wow!) rather than NEW stuff because frankly most of it just doesn't hold up.
I'm not really seeing anything over $9.99, except for some longer albums and stuff from some so-called 'stars'. But, then again, Springsteen's stuff has always been up by song only, and some others (if they're on there at all) are like that. Others cost more because they feel they can get away with it.
But, then, if its more than $9.99 for an album, I'll either go to Amazon/eBay, or buy just the songs I want, so it seems kind of a stupid thing to do. [And we can't imagine the RIAA doing anything like shoot itself in the foot, can we?]
I see canada in there. Wait..., I'm sorry, that was Greece. But I was close....
