ATTO Technology has announced its 4-Gigabit per second Fibre Channel storage adapters. The is a 4-Gigabit dual-channel Fibre Channel Storage Adapter that offers up to 800 MB/sec. performance, per channel, in full-duplex mode. The company says that it will demonstrate Celerity FC-42XS interoperability with 4-Gb/sec. Fibre Channel hard disk drive prototypes from Hitachi GST at Storage Networking World in Orlando, Florida, October 25-28, 2004. It supports the SNIA adapter API and offers complete driver support for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.
