In The Sims 2, players are offered control of their Sims over an entire lifetime "taking them through life's greatest moments. Every choice that is made has a relevant and dramatic effect on the life of a Sim. Players can now fulfill their Sims' life dreams as they take them from cradle to grave. More life-like Sims, all-new aspirations gameplay, and the ground-breaking addition of genetics, with the DNA of Sims passed down through generations, gives players a more vivid, realistic, and in-depth Sims experience. All of this takes place in a new amazingly realistic 3-D world." Pricing and availabilty were not available.
Players can create and play their own virtual sitcom by choosing one of five different aspirations – Popularity, Fortune, Family, Knowledge, and Romance--each of which endows your Sims to have wants and fears. Users can create their own Sim films with the new movie-making feature that offers control over the cast, the stage, the camera and the screenplay. Users can also generate unique Sims with the new "Create-A-Sim", offering a wide selection of facial features, hairstyles, and outfits. It also offers easy access to player-made content for a virtually endless array of customization options.
