- PopChar X 2.2 ($30) updates the sysem utility for "typing" unusual characters easily without having to remember keyboard combinations. Version 2.2 makes automatic font detection now available for all applications that have a regular Font menu in the menu bar, including Word, Excel, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, InDesign, FileMaker and BBEdit. - Plugin Galaxy for AE 1.5b ($100) is a collection of 21 plugins containing more than 150 different animatable video effects that work with various video and animation applications that support After Effects plugins. - Navicat 5.2.3 updates the Mac database tool that features an integrated GUI to perform MySQL administration and database development. Advanced features allow users to import/export data, backup, transfer database from server to server, create query and manage local or remote MySQL server. - CGIScripter 2.35EE ($50) has been updated to generate Perl CGI scripts for FileMaker Pro 7 and FileMaker Server 7 Advanced databases. Data from FileMaker 7 databases can be integrated with query results from other database servers or custom written Perl calculations without regard to scripting length or complexity.
