Classified Layout System, ClassForce for Mac OS X

updated 06:40 am EDT, Mon October 18, 2004

Classified apps for OS X

Managing Editor Inc. has released Page Director for Mac OS X--both of which bring Mac OS X compatibility as well as enhanced import/export, new "Behaviors" to help organize production and streamline workflow, and a revamped "Make Action" function for automating workflow. CLS contains a powerful and customizable rules-based pagination engine that allows users to define layout rules and automate classified page building, while ClassForce offers fewer customization optons. Completed CLS and ClassForce pages are opened in QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign for final output. Both are available as free upgrades for Mac OS X 10.3 for current owners with support contracts.
