Belkin debuts TunePower, TuneBase for iPod

today annnounced TunePower, a rechargeable battery pack, and TuneBase, a device that holds and charges your iPod mini in any vehicle. The TunePower ($100) provides 8-10 hours of additional play time--even when the iPod's internal battery is drained. It includes three sleeve sizes to accommodate all iPod and iPod mini players with dock connectors as well as offers a power-level indicator. Its detachable DC/FireWire cable can charge both the iPod and the TunePower simultaneously, when used with the Apple-supplied AC wall charger (bundled with the iPod) or when used with any FireWire port. The TunePower also features a protective case design. The TuneBase ($50) for the iPod mini features a cradle with a flexible-steel neck that powers and charges your mini simultaneously from any cigarette lighter outlet. Both products will begin shipping in North America on October 25, 2004.
