Chessmaster 9000

UK game development studio Feral Interactive today said that it is in the final stages of completing development on and may ship the title as early as November. "Chessmaster 9000 introduces players to the rules and strategies of chess while building skills through fun yet comprehensive tutorials. It features the complete gameplay of more than 800 classic chess matchups, an improved chess engine for more than 150 different opponents with varying skill levels, a new 'Psychology of Competition' chess course, online/multiplayer game options, 3D gameplay, and more. The company has posted new screenshots of the Mac interface, saying it has spent considerable effort to bring Mac-like Aqua look to the "original game's 'rugged' Windows-like interface."
