    Looks good

A little pricey on the surface, but it looks like someone has been doing a LOT of work on features and the dreaded interface. My cheque is in the mail

Forgot about this...finally the product can be ordered from Canada's Apple Store as well. Good stuff!

    Logic Express link

The link in the story only takes you to the Logic webpage, but Logic Express has been updated as well.

    Too bad

Too bad my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI card doesn't work well under OS X. I would like to move to OS X and Logic 7 but I'm still stuck with OS 9 and Logic 4.6 and won't change until my card works fine. Hopefully, Tiger and new drivers will solve my problem. Hopefully...

    Missing something

Did Apple forget Emagic's audio and midi hardware. If not, then where is it on Apple's homepage.

    Missing something

That's an interesting question. I just went to Emagic's website, and beyond the support section, it appears we're now redirected to Apple's site. It woudn't surprise me if they get out of the hardware side, given the number of other products on the market.

    Express is like "ProBand

This new version of Logic Express looks great. Its only $150 EDU and its a great way to step up from GarageBand since it includes everything in GarageBand and can natively read the format. The only downside is that the amp modeling is better on Logic pro, but otherwise Express seems like a great way for aspiring musicians to take their GarageBand work to new levels.

    Pretty cool...

These are the first versions of Logic to be branded as Apple products and to get the full Apple UI design treatment. Nice work.

    Rest in peace, Emagic.
