WiebeTech debuts ToughTech enclosure, rack-mount RAID

WiebeTech today announced its , which features two FireWire RAIDS systems that can store up to 1.6 Terabytes in a 1U rack mount enclosure. RackFire features two separate dual-drive hardware RAIDs that are individually accessible through two hot swappable trays with FireWire 800 connections. RackFire is based on the latest generation of FireWire 800 bridges, the Oxford Semiconductor OXUF912 and is available in enclosure-only ($700), 640GB (4x160GB, $1,100), 1TB (4x250GB, $1,700), and 1.6TB (4x400GB, $3,000) capacities. Additional trays that hold up to drives are $100.
