Kanguru ships 1GB FireWire portable flash drive

Kanguru today released "the first" FireWire-based flash drive, a high speed 3-inch portable FireWire drive. The new is available in capacities ranging from 128MB to 1GB and utilizes a 6-pin FireWire connection for high-speed data transfer. It can be easily plugged into a FireWire port and automatically recognized by a computer for instant plug and play access. Weighing 30g, the Kanguru Fire Flash works with Macintosh and Windows, requires no external power and is driverless with most operating systems. It ships with a 4-pin adapter and a desktop docking station. Prices are $70 (128MB), $100 (256MB), $160 (512MB), and $280 (1GB).
