Intelli Innovations today released , a major upgrade to its batch barcode generation suite. It offers a streamlined interface for creating barcodes in bulk from a text file, spreadsheet, manually entry, or via automation from a FileMaker Pro database (or other AppleScript function). Barcode Automator can be used for inventory control, book publishing, and many other functions. The software supports every major barcode symbology, includes vectorized EPS, JPEG, and TIFF export capabilities, and comes bundled with OCR fonts.

Version 3.0 is Sunrise 2005 compliant, conforming to the latest standards for barcodes and worldwide retail item identification and enabling the creation of barcodes that represent variable length Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTINs). Barcode Automator 3.0 also offers customizable naming schemes to define the values and names used to identify finished barcode graphics as well as complete price barcode add-on and magazine issue support. Other new features include enhanced numeric range functionality, extensive PostScript font utilities, a streamlined value editor interface, a built-in barcode tester/verifier, integrated EAN Country Prefix reference, keyboard-based navigation, and more.



Barcode Automator 3.0 requires Mac OS X 9.2/10.2. It is available for $500 or as a free upgrade to all Barcode Automator 2.x owners.
