updated 10:45 pm EDT, Mon August 23, 2004

Ampede PDF for FCP HD

Ampede today introduced , a software plugin that brings continuous rasterization of Adobe Illustrator artwork to Final Cut Pro HD--previously only available in dedicated compositors such as Adobe After Effects. "With Ampede PDF, Final Cut Pro editors can take advantage of continuous rasterization without leaving Final Cut Pro or exporting to other applications. Ampede PDF renders vector content from Adobe Illustrator and PDF files frame by frame, so the artwork is always sharp regardless of scale, movement, or rotation. [It] is optimized for both the G4 and G5 processors and offers ColorSync support, Velocity Engine acceleration, multi-threading, sub-pixel rendering, non-square pixel support, field rendering, and a beautiful Cocoa-based GUI available right inside Final Cut Pro." It is available immediately for $100.
