RoadTrip! FM transmitter

Newer Technology and Other World Computing today announced the new , an adapter that allows iPod users to broadcast their favorite audio files from an iPod through a car audio system using the 107.7 FM radio frequency. The 'RoadTrip!' FM transmitter connects to a vehicle's 12-volt cigarette lighter and has a 3.5-millimeter stereo jack that is compatible with all four generations of iPods, the iPod mini and most personal MP3 and audio players. The 'RoadTrip!' is available immediately for $20.

"The 'RoadTrip!' FM transmitter is a perfect balance of high-quality sound and low cost, which allows iPod lovers to play their music through their car's FM radio -- any car -- any FM radio, with ease," O'Connor said. "In testing the 'RoadTrip!' we found the sound quality equal to or even better than other similar products, but with exceptional broadcast stability -- unlike other products that did not consistently provide a good signal to the radio. Many FM iPod transmitters give users a real headache just trying to get a good frequency lock, but the 'RoadTrip!' locks clean to FM 107.7 and doesn't suffer the signal bleed or drift that just takes the fun out of any trip with your iPod."
