    What a joke

what a joke that XP lite is. Talking about taking a step backwards. As pitiful as it is, I could see something like that catching on in the US with the right small PC manufacturer. Ugh.

    No carbs?
    No taste?
    No viruses?
    No security?

    Reminds me of classic lit

I seem to remember the time when Apple nixed the Newton and eMate, and was going to release the iBook. Steve Jobs said Apple should concentrate on a single OS. There was speculation that Apple would release an eMate with a "lite" version of the Mac OS (classic at the time).

IMHO I don't think people will be impressed with a "Lite" OS. For a long list of reasons too much for me to articulate here.
