Automatic Duck has begun shipping , an application for translating FCP XML files into ProTools session files: "Using XML-PRO, you can turn a Final Cut XML export into Pro Tools Sessions, or AES-31-3 ADLs (which can be imported into Nuendo), referencing source media, and including clip volume level automation." XML-Pro leverages Final Cut's XML export and preserves FCP Clip and keyframes, but not fades, which revert to splice edits, according to the company. It is available with a dongle; pricing is $900.
