Kensington launches five new iPod accessories

announced today that it has expanded its line of iPod accessories with the availability of five new products designed for iPod enthusiasts. Three of the products being announced, the SX 2000 Speakers for iPod, the Micro FM Transmitter for iPod and the Digital FM Radio and FM Transmitter for iPod will support the recently announced iPod nano. "The iPod defines what consumers expect out of their digital music experience, and we are committed to launching a line of accessories that further enhances that experience," said Oren Blonstein, Global Product Manager, for Kensington.

Compatible with any iPod with dock connector:
SX 2000 Speakers for iPod -- The SX 2000 Speakers for iPod combines speaker technology from NXT with an industrial design that complements the iPod and the new iPod nano. Thanks to breakthrough flat-panel SurfaceSound speaker technology from NXT, the speakers deliver superior bass, more balanced sound, and a wider "sweet spot" versus traditional cone speakers. "Unlike traditional speakers, the SX 2000 Speakers for iPod truly fill the room with sound from both the front and rear of the speaker -- and at higher volume levels." In addition, auxiliary inputs allow use of these speakers with the iPod shuffle and virtually any other MP3 player. Estimated street price is $160.

Micro FM Transmitter for iPod -- You've never heard sound this great from an FM transmitter this small. The Kensington Micro FM transmitter plays through any FM receiver. Built with patented Aerielle(R) technology, you get superior audio and noise filtration so your music sounds great. Best of all, no cables or wires to mess with. Bottom mount functionality provides universal compatibility with any iPod with dock connector -- old and new. Estimated street price $50.

Digital FM Radio and FM Transmitter for iPod -- This unique 2-in-1 FM transmitter and radio lets you listen to your favorite FM radio station with your iPod or transmit iPod tunes through your home or car stereo. The FM Transmitter will also seek out the clearest radio station in your area with the simple press of a button. The backlit digital display is simple to read and tune to any station, and you can lock in your favorites with four pre-sets. Patented Aerielle(R) technology delivers cleaner, higher quality audio when compared to other FM transmitters on the market. New accessories enhance the iPod shuffle experience:
Travel Plug Adapter with USB Charger -- A complete travel plug adapter in a convenient size. The plug adapter allows users to plug into outlets in up to 150 different countries. Two modules allow users to either charge their iPod or other USB powered devices, or plug in any consumer-electronic AC powered product. Simply press a button to slide out the appropriate plug, then plug the electronic device into either the USB charger or AC module. The safety release button and built-in fuse ensure safe operation. Transporters for iPod Shuffle -- Slide it over your belt or waistband, or snap it onto your briefcase or handbag. Transporters for iPod shuffle come with two attachments for easy carrying.
