iPhoto 4.02 released

Apple today released iPhoto 4.02, a free update to its bundled software iLife component application for sharing, editing, and organizing photos. The free 7.1MB update addresses minor issues with Smart Albums and European books, and provides notification when new versions of iPhoto are available. It is available via the Mac OS X Software Update.

    Mine slowed down

Installed the patch, then as I shut down iPhoto it hung for a time before finally quiting. Did a repair permissions, 3 errors. Start/shutdown iPhoto again, still a delayed quit. No errors on RP. Have just over 4k images in my library. Anyone else have this happen?

    slow at first, then OK

First launch/quit took noticably longer, but subsequent ones are back to what I expected... Haven't bothered to look at anything like library size etc. and haven't had to repair anything. 1700 photos. iBook 500. As always, turning off drop shadows is a big speed boost.

OH MY GOD IT DELETED EVERYTHING IN MY HOME DIRECTORY, I'M GOING TO SUE APPLE!

Oh, wait, just kidding. Update worked fine, the first start was slow, but I'm sure it was reindexing. All is well in Macland for today.

    Did they pull it?

I just ran Software Update (9:30pm EDT) and iPhoto 4.02 wasn't listed.

Instead of blaming Apple, why don't you own up to your responsibility and stop taking pictures?
    Just kidding! :)

Yeah, you're breaking your own copyright! Now imagine what'll happen if you catch yourself. You might have to take yourself to court. If you're a judge, it'll be hard to maintain impartiality.
