    Awesome!

Lets see MusicMatch or Napster offfer that kind of promotion. Of course, if they did, it would have to be for the like 25 millionth song sold instead of 100, unless they wanted people to wait a year! This and the "free song of the week" type promotions are what will keep ITMS on top for some time to come. I know I will probably be buying about 60 tracks that I have had in my shopping card for a while because of this promotion.

    Wicked awesome

10,000 song gift certificate? I'd be a total kid in a candy store. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG. BUY SONG...repeat 9,980 more times.

    Count misleading

Note that all those 'free' weekly songs count towards this 100 million number. So its not 100million songs 'sold'.

    More countries

I can't imagine what it'll be like when citizens of other countries will be allowed to purchase music on the ITMS.

    RE: Count misleading.

I think you're missing the point, entirely.
Forget the number for one second; what this is about, more likely, is the fact that Apple does things like this, and generally does take care of its customers.
Whoc ares, really, if it's for the 100 Mln. song or whatever. Like a poster said previously, I'd liek to see ANY other online music store offer such a promotion.

    Sales Numbers

Who cares if the 100 Million includes the free songs or not. Either way it's 10x what any of their competition has sold...

    Awesome promotion

Its an awesome promotion....I can't wait to see what happens to the sales figure rates as they get near the 100m mark. Its going to go insane. I mean, if you get that 100m song, you get $14,000 worth of stuff! THAT'S CRAZY

    Re; Free Songs

That number does NOT include free songs, in any way, shape or form. Those are sold songs, paid for by customers. If you don't know, why would make such an uninformed comment.
