Texas school grant
Six school districts in Texas, including Floydada ISD, Slaton ISD, and Post ISD will benefit from a involving Apple. The $350,000 grant will give each student and teacher at Floydada Junior High a laptop computer to use in the classroom. "Students are digital natives and teachers are sometimes digital immigrants and we have a need to authentically engage children of all ages in instruction and technology is one way to do that," said Wesley Fryer, Director of Distance Learning at Texas Tech.
