    HP shortcomings...

Although HP makes some beatuiful hardware, they have a habit of only partially supporting Mac users on the software side of their operation. For example, I have an HP 5550c scanner that doesn't support TWAIN. The whole experience has been frustrating in that HP keeps promising to support the scanner (at the time of purchase, their literature claimed it was supported...) but never seems to get around to fixing the problem. I guess my concern is that their other imaging products would be similar -- only partially supported.
