WiebeTech today announced the , which allows users to easily mount two drives (as separate volumes) from within a single external FireWire 800 enclosure.It features the Oxford 922 chipset, USB 2.0 connector, dual FireWire 800 interfaces (with support for FireWire 400 devices), and a fully self-contained unit that features a power supply. Additionally, DuoGB800 takes advantage of the built-in RAID capability of Mac OS X, allowing users to effortlessly stripe or mirror the drives. Pricing starts at $180 (case-only) and it supports capacities up to 2x400GB (800GB total). It will ship on May 27th.
