Apple's iTunes wins two Webby Awards
Apple's iTunes has won two 2004 Webby Awards, after being nominated in three different categories last month. Apple's iTunes won in the 'Commerce' and 'Music' categories, but lost in the 'Services' category to Google. Apple was also the People's choice winner in the 'Music' category, while eBay took the People's Choice Award in the 'Commerce' category.
The awards are selected by an independent panel of judges designated as "professionals in their category with expertise on the internet" and sites are evaluated based on Academy set criteria (content, structure & navigation, visual design, interactivity, functionality and overall experience), as well as the panels own definition for the category which may include impact.
