    iMac's

Too bad they haven't figured out that iMac's were dying from a bad video card by the hundreds. "My screen just quit"

    Still hosed

My 600 MHz iBook with serial number UV151* seems farther than ever from a motherboard replacement. It's been unusable due to video chip failure for almost a year...

    Proactive?

Yes, if you define proactive as denying a problem for months/years, then denying that the problem affected certain machines, then finally accepting some responsibility.

No help for us hinge backlight failure folks, either.

    nee Retroactive

I think he was looking for the word "retroactive" not "proactive."

(Unless he truly doesn't understand what proactive means.)

    Proactive

No, I think he means proactive in that he got a call from Apple rather than him having to call them, which, in a very limited view, is indeed proactive.

My point was that in the big picture they have been far from proactive about this problem, not to mention my broken backlight hinge wires, which they have refused to acknowledge at all.
