CNET launches Download.com Music

CNET, which last year acquired MP3.com, today launched Download.com Music, a free music service that takes a page from the former service. Download.com Music features free tracks from numerous independent bands and allows new artists to contribute their works to the site.

why, why, why? I searched for John Mayer and turned up no results. That's enough for me, not to use this service.

Isn't that all that MP3.com used to be? What's the difference here?

In the CNET reviews, they will say how much better Dowload.com Music is then the iTunes Music Store.

As usual, people here don't know what they're talking about. The new Download.com Music site looks far superior compared to the aging and too-expensive MP3.com site it had replaced. MP3.com might have been nice in its heyday, but its last year or two of existence was ghastly. This is MUCH better site...easier to navigate, and free for artists to join. I for one welcome such a site.

If you bozos hate it so much, don't go there. Have fun missing out on all the free music.

mp3.com has no valuable info to offer, I could go anywhere to hear main stream artists, but I guess main stream artists need the extra help. LOL. It is pure trash. I could go to yahoo and type in a search for the same crap on mp3.com
