    Chances are

This is probably one of the last updates Adobe will ever release for the Mac. With Apple offering new tools for the Mac platform, I would not be surprised to see Adobe drop After Effects some time in the future just like they did with Premiere.

    Obviously

It is obvious. Just look at the packaging. Why would Adobe _NOT_ update AE 6.5's fonts to sans serif? It has retained the old typeface. This is just too obvious.

    re: Chances are

There are BIG differences between the situation with AE and Premiere. AE is a leading program in motion graphics with a very large entrenched user base. Premiere had not been a leading program for many, many years by the time Adobe ditched it, and was so far from proffesional level that it was something of a standing joke among editors used to Avids or Quantel systems, even Media 100s level it.

    ...

Anyone who uses after effects, knows that motion is not a direct competitor. Where is the z space in motion.. its not there. Is motion meant for detailed chroma key? no.
