Hungarian Mac OS X 10.3

The is now available for download. The update currently only supports Mac OS X 10.3.0, requiring users to install 10.3.0 first and then apply the localization patch. Additionally, only system applications have been localized; iApps and Help menus remain in English. Hungarian localizations supporting Mac OS X 10.3.2 and 10.3.3 are currently in development.

    Lets localize more

This is great. Mac OS X needs to be localized in order to catch up in this field with other systems out there. The Hungarian market is small and one of the reasons for being so small is the lack of support.

If something breaks it still takes months to get it repaired, if they will even repair it. The hardware prices are also much higher, all of which will hopefully change with the EU.

Let's hope the Apple Europe will focus on widening their hardware and software support in countries such as Hungary and the rest of Eastern Europe...

People are interested in getting to know the Mac better, so lets give them a chance.

In Hungary there are some Apple sites, but not many. There is also a TV show every saturday that tries to introduce the Mac to the public. More info on that here on the TV stations site:

    Is Greece listening?

Ok, how is it that the Hungarian localization can be released for free, but Greek people living outside Greece can't even PAY FOR a copy of the Greek localization?
