    s******* the stockholders

I wonder if they will disclose how they are s******* stockholders by not reporting the actual costs of the products they sell at the Apple Retail stores. Making it appear the retail stores are making profit then they actually are.

    Stupid Lawyers

This is stupid on so many levels I don't know where to begin. I'm a Mac Ooner, Apple shareholder, SAP consultant (SAP is Apples accounting and logistics software) and corporate financial analyst.

Since the Apple stores are divisions of Apple, and not separate legal entities GAAP doesn't permit them to sell their products to themselves at a profit. The costs shown are most likeley Apples internal standard cost including allocations for R&D etc. The 5 bucks for an AppleCare agreement simply represents the manufactuing cost of the card and booklet to Apple, the same holds true for FileMaker. A box and a CD cost nothing to manufacture.

Apples 10-Q clearly states that the costs are adjusted between divisions. The "Invoices" shown are merely SAP's way of keeping track of the value of what inventory is where when it is moved from one of Apple's warehouses to another, in this case an Apple Store.
