Apple sets sights on Kansas City plaza for store

"While other national retailers are just scoping out the Country Club Plaza, one chain appears to have made a commitment," reports The Kansas City Star. Apple has posted seven job openings on its Web site for a , even though Apple typically does not announce a new store until two weeks before it opens, said Jane Rauckhorst, senior manager, retail public relations. Apple has stores in St. Louis but none in the Kansas City area or Missouri. There are now 77 in the United States and one in Japan.
