You can download the free gimp.app 2.0 from which is no different than what you would pay for from these chumps. All you need is Apple's X11 installed, and double click this executable...

A bunch of Parasites

Once again the OpenOSX folks are violating the GPL. You can't take advantage of GPL programs, link your programs to GPL'ed libraries (which infects them with the GPL license, claim that your stuff is GPL and then not abide by the distribution requirements of the GPL. Don't support these parasites.

Well, some would argue that GNU code is parasitic, if its such that just linking to GNU code somehow "infects" all your code to be under their license. (to me linking code means to link to already created libraries - not including the code itself into your code. Theoretically your definition means any/all code run on Linux could be considered under GNU since everything links to libraries somewhere).

Oh, and what distribution requirement are they not abiding by? There's nothing in the license that says they have to provide the software to you for download for free. (Oh, and if they don't consider their stuff to fall under GNU, there's nothing that says they have to provide it for free).

See, its crap like this why companies don't like the GPL, favoring something more like the BSD license Apple and Apache more closely follow.

I paid 25.00 in good faith at their site to get the Gimp 2.0. They gave me a download link and a password. The download didn't finish so when I went back to the download area on their site, it said that my password was no good anymore.

I have sent many emails to get a new password, and even called the owner, Jeshua Lacock but he didn't return my calls.

I contacted their ecommerce partner, Americart and they are trying to help me. They said if a client acts like this, it's not good.
